Hulsizer Room Reservations
The Hulsizer Function Room is the only room in Ashdown House that can be reserved for private events. The Hulsizer Room at Ashdown House is a large space for events with 50-150 participants. There are 6-person rectangular tables and chairs in the room, but these can be cleared out or rearranged depending on the nature of your event. To reserve the Hulsizer Room, please contact the Ashdown House Manager, Denise Lanfranchi (dlan (at) mit.edu). A fee applies for private events. Reservations by residents running events specifically for the entire Ashdown community (such as brunch or cultural events) are free of charge. In accordance with our policies, the other common rooms in Ashdown House, such as the Crafts Lounge, may not be reserved for private events. The only reservations of those rooms are for events open and relevant to the entire Ashdown community, such as AHEC meetings and concerts, and other uses approved by AHEC in advance. Residents are free to hold small (<15 people) events of their own in those rooms, but other residents must be free and welcome to enter and use the rooms at the same time. The one exception to this is that our undergrad neighbours, the Phoenix Group, will hold occasional group meetings in the Crafts Lounge. |
