- Resolution came to a vote 25 (yes) -17 (no) -11 (abstained).
- Jordan voted “no” because he thought the resolution was not adequately defended. Proponents did not show understanding of the financial consequences of the resolution.
- Stanford and Yale implemented a similar policy
- Discretionary AHEC member budget for officers
- For buying food during officer meetings or for officer awards
- Should be # of officers per AHEC member times $10
- Shabnam: must ensure food doesn’t distract people from the actual meeting
- Reuse/recycling/donation bins during move-out periods
- This was proposed by William Plunkett, the new environmental officer
- Katie proposed this in the past but there were worries about people leaving trash/junk and having no one to take care of it. Would attract mice, etc.
- AHEC agrees this is a good idea. We have to be sure items get recycled/reused/donated properly so that we don’t run into a storage problem.
- GSC meetings next week
- AHEC officer summer budget meeting
