Ashdown has the problem of people signing up for events and then not showing up
This results in financial loss, poorly attended events, and prevents people who wanted to attend from having a spot at the event
Other housemasters have recently implemented the policy of charging $20 to a student's account if he or she doesn't show up for an RSVP'd housemaster event
Ann will look into how we could set something up for our housemaster events, and potentially AHEC events. We would also see if we could charge front desk fines to students' Bursar's accounts
Cocktail-style TGIF or happy hour to promote mingling
Activity or theme is preferred so people have something to do (Ex. wine tasting, puzzle making)
Some people looking into getting dinners might be slightly disappointed
In general, AHEC would not like a limit on this. We would keep the number of officers about the same for management purposes but it would be nice to not be restricted if we needed a couple more
Housemasters in multiple dorms are looking into the matter
Andrea is looking into populating a list of the items in common spaces that need maintenance either by AHEC, officers, or the house manager
Once we have a list, this information will be on the website and small posters will be placed in relevant common spaces
January 20 at 11:30am for staff, house manager, housemasters, and AHEC
AHEC must buy gift cards for staff
GSC representatives and people who have helped directly with GSC events and efforts are invited
December 15 at 5pm, Walker Memorial, Pritchett Dining Hall
Supplement Ashdown Holiday Party ($125-250)
Consider another Chocolate Night
Dimiter will work on the budget during the holiday break (by the end of the year)
Proposals will be requested the first week of January and due mid-IAP
Look into officer evaluations and seniority points for this semester
We probably want to do this. Perhaps AHEC or some committee can be in charge. Brandon might want to help out again
We have all the materials, all that is needed is to buy/categorize prizes and organize volunteers to set up, work the tables, and clean up
Wii has arrived and will be delivered to Tech Committee for setup in the TV Room
Alex will meet with MIT Medical to coordinate kickoff event and how the program would work
Kickoff event will be late in IAP when people are around
