- (Briefing of officer responsibilities for officers who could not come to dinners)
- Report on Ashdown Gates
- TODO: Ann to send e-mail to the house saying people can use gates at any time but *should* report problems (gates do not open as intended, or open insecurely)
- Homeless person found in TV room last night, probably due to inadequate resident vigilance
- Idea: Front gate should not open for any MIT resident during TE hours. Non-resident TE patrons should have to go through front desk. Residents can still scan card and enter.
- DirecTV: Housing will provide us with it for $10/month
- Crafts Lounge policy
- Events expecting over 15 people or restricting other use of Crafts lounge must obtain prior approval of AHEC
- No resident may be blocked from entering the lounge
- No reservations can be made without express approval of AHEC, and usually will not be granted
- Friday Presidential Debates & Ice cream event: may or may not happen depending on news. We will have alternate event. TODO: Naresh to check today if TV tuner works, inform Dheera immediately if not.
- Front desk
- TODO: Dheera to write front desk script.
- Front desk policy: 48 hours for movies, 24 hours for everything else, 48 hour grace period for all items with automatic annoying e-mails until fines.
- Unpacking AHEC closet
- Dance floor: S-P doesn't want it; ask Housing if they have an idea for its storage.
- Move artwork elsewhere, then put up cabinets and unpack things.
- Mobile gaming scavenger hunt
- Scavenger hunt involving cell phones and text messaging
- Company wants to test system in Ashdown
- Evan from the company will run the event and fund it, since it might be fun for us we are open to it, prizes also to be given
- Should inform participants about usage of text messages so they are not alarmed, in case they do not have a cheap usage plan. It is not necessary for each team member to have a plan, one cell phone per team is enough.
